For years, Ecowood customers asked us to find a sustainable clothing hanger to use in their retail stores. We spent a lot of time trying to solve the problems of using reclaimed wood for hangers. It was a dead end, then one day while looking at a very cool bamboo cutting board, the light bulb went off.

Why not bamboo?

Very rapid growing, strong, easily sustained and beautiful, Bamboo could be made into stylish, durable and very eco-friendly eco hangers. After finding a great manufacturer who would make our hangers to our stringent specifications, we were off and running. Black powder coated hook, (NO CHROME), and a waterborne clear finish, our hangers are as eco-friendly as it gets with plenty of style and functionality. Our hangers are produced in responsible factories.

Where are BGreen Hangers made?

NOTE: Our hangers are safe! *All hangers in stock have been in inventory last few years. *No new inventory 2019-2020. Bgreen Hangers are made in Guilin, China. This region of China is well known for it's large sustainable bamboo forests.

Why are Bgreen Hangers hooks black?

We choose not to use chrome because of the harsh environmental issue surrounding the application of chrome. Even though chrome is a stable product after it is applied, the process of electroplating chrome uses toxic materials that are dangerous.
